This yarn is spun from 78% mohair, 17% wool, and 5% nylon. It is a 4 ply strand with a tiny invisible nylon thread that runs through its core. Each skein is one ounce of soft Mohair spun into a fingering weight yarn. The yarn is hand dyed by me in my lab (studio) just outside Phoenix, AZ. The color is a salmon. Let's define Salmon as a color. In this case. Salmon is an orange and not a pink. that means it leans more to the soft orange side. We love a good beautiful pink around here. Just not in our Bay Orange. I hope that helps. Yes Yes Yes! It is soft and very nice against the skin. The color is called Bay Orange. It is a soft orange with a nod to a salmon fish hue.
