Starfish Bay Hand Dyed Merino Wool Yarn DK / Sport Weight
Starfish Bay 120 yards 1.3 ounces Yarn
This yarn is spun from 100% Merino wool. Merino wool is the softest wool fiber available and is very nice against the skin. The weight is Sport / DK with a gauge of 5-6 on size 5 needles American.
The yarn is hand dyed by me in my lab just outside Phoenix, AZ. The color is inspired by the starfish that cling to the rocks on the ocean floor. The color way is a mix of orange corals and pinky salmons with some brown. I think it looks very much like the lazy starfish of the Pacific Coast.
